Nationwide has a shop of over 1,000 square feet adjacent to Hank’s Guitar Shop in Clearwater, FL. Hank is also the author of several guitar repair manuals, including “Guitar Setups for Professionals”, available on Amazon and select book stores. Hank founded Guitars Done Right to promote proper guitar setup techniques and is the administrator for Guitar Tech Academy.
My Story
Hi, I’m Hank—I’ve loved working on guitars since 1970!
It all started when I apprenticed at a little guitar shop in Houston, getting paid mostly in pizza and soda.
Life eventually took me in other directions, but I never forgot my first love: guitar repair. So, instead of retiring at 65, I dove back into lutherie full-time in 2012. Since then, I’ve founded Guitars Done Right, GuitarFlipper.com, Guitar-Tech-Academy.com, opened Hank’s Guitar Shop, authored several guitar repair books, trained over a dozen guitar techs, and now proudly offer nationwide guitar setups and repairs through Nationwide-Guitar-Repair.com.
Our Team
I am very proud of our team of expert guitar techs! Liam Sorrell and Dan Pacheco have not only studied, trained, and gotten tons of experience to perform amazing setups and repairs but they both truly care about your experience and will handle your instrument with the attention and care it deserves.
I’d like to mention a couple of our team members who’ve moved on – Josh Hermann who is now a touring tech for big-name bands and John Brooks, who specializes in acoustic guitar repair – both great guys who will take awesome care of your guitar!
We’ll make sure the job is done right and our customers are happy! I’m really proud of our young guitar techs – they take such pride in their work and are always striving to learn more.
