Ship Your Guitar Safely to Nationwide Guitar Repair

Sending your guitar for expert repair doesn’t have to be complicated — and you don’t need special gear or insider know-how.
Follow our simple packing guide below, and you’ll have your instrument on its way in no time.

🚀 Step 1: Order the Right Shipping Box

We’ve tested a bunch of options and found these to be reliable and affordable. Each ships flat and usually arrives within a few days.

For Electric Guitars (45″ box):

For Acoustic Guitars (20×8×50″ box):

For Basses / Extra-long Guitars (52″ box):

Tip: Order a few days before your repair appointment so you’re ready when you print your shipping label.

🧻 Step 2: Grab Some Packing Supplies

Protect your instrument inside the case with bubble wrap. It’s affordable, available from big retailers, and does a great job.

You’ll only need a few feet of wrap and a strong layer of tape at each seam.

📦 Step 3: Pack It Securely

  1. Loosen the strings one or two turns to relieve tension.

  2. Wrap the headstock with a few layers of bubble wrap.

  3. Pad the body inside the case so it can’t shift.

  4. Wrap the entire case in bubble wrap.

  5. Place the case in the box and fill any empty space with padding (bubble wrap or crumpled paper).

  6. Seal all seams with heavy-duty packing tape.

  7. Mark the box: FRAGILE.

  • Choose your carrier (UPS or FedEx) and service level.

  • Print the label, tape it flat to the box, and drop the package at the carrier location or schedule a pickup.
